- Following recommendatios are considered while remodelling of siddiq trade centre.
- Basic problem was of its orientation the blind use of glass irrespective of its orientation creates difficulties for the users.
- Glass is imprtant in commercial building for display but along with it some protective measures should also be taken eg recessed glass, balconies,projections etc.
- Entrances for such large shopping plaza should be emphasized and the main entrance should be emphasized above the others.
- Form of most shopping plazas coming nowadays is not interesting they are just commercial skyscrapers some considertion should be given to improve the form to make it attractive also from outside.
- Offices should be given proper natural light and views to enhance working efficiency of employees..
- Appartments at such busy junction are never successful so they should be converted into offices or some other commercial activity like gym or banquet halls.
- For successful shopping plaza it should be engaged all the time and to make it engaged it should be equipped with all necessary sevices eg fire fighting systems,electricity,lifts ,escalators erc.
- For Lahorites the good eating place is major attraction so eating places like BAR B.Q areas, roof garden restaurant and snack bars are recommended to be incorporated at different levels in the building to make all levels engaged.
- Although the parking facillity is reasonable but the ramp approaching basement from ground level is very steep it is recommended to increase the length of ramp for safe flow of traffic.
- Corportae floors in modern day office buildings is major requirement to provide basic facillities within the enclosure,so a corporate floor for 6 floor office tower is recommended to attract the firms.
- Finishing materials in centre are not contemporaray so it is recommended to finish it looking like contemporary shopping mall fulfilling the need of shopper.
- Alucobond alongwith greenish blue glass will make it look dramatic at such an imprtant junction serving as landmark to main boulevard when coming from jail road .
